Think Pink @ Fancie

So, a very good friend of Fancie's has set herself the challenge of raising £4000.00 for Weston Park Hospital, which if you don't know is the excellent Cancer treatment center in Sheffield.

Her Mum unfortunately passed away after receiving their amazing care throughout her treatment. 

This has spurred Gaynor on to take on some crazy challenges to raise money for them, the latest one being a Triathlon, followed by a 9 Day TREK through New Zealand! 

We are a million percent behind her and are delighted to be helping where we can with hitting her target. 

So..... This Friday 30th October is National Breast Cancer Awareness day. We are holding an event at the shop to raise lots of lovely cash and have a right old pamper at the same time.

Come along and enjoy Pink Cupcakes, Pink Fizz and a mini treatment courtesy of the ladies at Beauty Care, Sharrowvale Rd. Tickets are just £15 with ALL proceeds going to Weston Park.

Happy Halloween!

Be sure to pop into the shop over the next couple of weeks for Halloween treats-a-plenty! 

New seasonal flavours include Butterscotch, Toffee apple and popping candy and Spicy Pumpkin.... all of which are YUM if we do say so ourselves!

Halloween itself will see the Fancie girls as you have never seen them before- expect fancy dress, sweetie give aways and a whole host of devilish mischief!

New Website!

How exciting... we have a brand new spanky website. Designed by Fancie's very good friend Liz Parker, we think its absolutely scrummy and hope you think the same- do let us know!

Brrr.... now where did I put my scarf??

Every year I seem to forget just how much I love Autumn, that is until I reach for my pashmina (that doesn't leave my neck again until at least the following June) then I know that I can sit drinking hot chocolate, eat rich spicy cake and  put the heating on without feeling like I'm being indulgent! I am so excited about all the festivities over the coming months and the Fancie kitchen is a-buzz with developing flavours, designing ranges and testing out recipes (its a hard life!).

So get ready folks, because we are going to help you party the rest of 2009 away in a sea of cake- Halloween, Bonfire night and of course, Christmas are all in the bag at Fancie, pictures to come soon!!

National Cupcake Week

Well, that was fun! Last week saw Fancie enjoy a fun filled week of Cupcake celebrations to celebrate National Cupcake Week- Yes, there really is a week dedicated to Cupcakes (and rightly so!)

Not being ones to shy away from a party we filled each day with a different event which varied from an indoor street party, to Fancie angels dropping boxes of cakes round various offices in the city. Congratulations to those who received them!!

Long time....

No blog! Sorry, the last few weeks/ months seem to have flown by in a cloud of icing sugar and cocoa.... achoo!

Everything is going just swimmingly with some very exciting developments lying around on the Fancie kitchen table.... at the risk of being THE most annoying person in the world, we cant divulge just yet but watch this space and you'll be the first to know!

As a little side note and a slightly self indulgent addition to this short post, I just want to extend a massive thank you to all our lovely customers, we've had a real blast over the last 4 months and can't wait to keep it going! After the predictable shaky start with staff coming and going and settling in, we now have a team of lovely girls who are a pleasure to work with and I thank my lucky stars every day that Fancie is in our lives!
